INSIGHTS AND RESOURCES TO GET YOU STARTED

Categories

You already know it’s important to stay current with the latest technologies in your industry- it’s what makes you a strong business leader in today’s fast-paced and constantly evolving market. You also know that introducing this technology, especially if it includes artificial intelligence, can be a daunting task as most organizations can be resistant to change or lack an understanding of how new tools and technologies benefit the business and their role within the organization.

It's your job to not only identify technologies that will provide your organization with a competitive advantage, but to also ensure a smooth adoption of these technologies within your team. Here a few tips to help you get the ball rolling:

1. Communicate the value of the new tech to your organization

Prior to introducing and rolling out a new technological solution, make sure your team understands the need for this new solution and how it will benefit them directly and the organization as a whole. It’s vital you clearly articulate the problem the new solution will solve, and how it will help the team increase productivity, efficiency, or general competitiveness. This will aid in the buy-in process and build enthusiasm for change.

2. Provide adequate training

Providing your team with the tools and resources they need to be successful when using the new solution is the cornerstone of rolling out our new technology. This could include in-person training sessions, online tutorials, or one-on-one support. Allow plenty of time to practice and experiment with the solution so team members feel confident using the new tool. It can be a good idea to designate a dedicated point of contact or resource, so team members have a place or person to turn to for questions and support.

3. Encourage collaboration

Working together can increase understanding and break down any hesitation team members may have toward a new solution. It can help build a sense of ownership and support amongst team members and can potentially also lead to new ideas for using the technology innovatively. You can consider setting up a dedicated space or forum for team members to share tips, ask questions, and collaborate on projects related to the new technological solutions.

4. Set clear expectations

Make sure your team knows what is expected of them when it comes to using the new solution. This could include setting deadlines for adoption or establishing guidelines for how the technology should be used. It’s important that you’re clear and specific about these expectations so that team members know exactly what is expected of them.

5. Offer ongoing support

Don’t just drop the bomb and move on. Introduce the technology and continue to offer ongoing support and assistance as needed. This could include regular check-ins or offering additional training sessions as needed. It’s also a good idea to have a system in place for team members to report any issues or challenges they are experiencing with the technology.

Ensuring a smooth adoption of new technologies can be a difficult hurdle to overcome. Remember, change can be difficult, but by communicating the value of the new technological solution, providing adequate training, encouraging collaboration, setting clear expectations, and offering ongoing support, you can help your team embrace the change and integrate the new tool into your ongoing operation.

Heat and electricity plants are shifting from coal to alternative sources with many turning to Biomass. While biomass is a verified sustainable heating and energy alternative, it elevates risk levels as unregulated rising temperatures in stored biomass presents an increased fire risk as seen by the recent 34-day fire in Roskilde, Denmark. (EnergiWatch)

Utilizing GPS coordinates, Robotto’s technology will aid site safety and security professionals to mitigate risk by utilizing intelligent robotics to monitor and analyze both the volume and temperatures of stored biomass.

The grant signifies the achievement of a strategic growth step for Robotto, enabling the prize-winning software company to use intelligent robotics to solve yet another large global problem- ensuring the safety of critical infrastructures.

In action from the start

Working in partnership with a Copenhagen-based heat and power plant, Robotto is able to ensure not only usability but also a direct increase in site safety. Increasing site safety allows critical infrastructures to continue to supply sustainable heat and energy to local communities without the elevated risk biomass inherently presents.

"We want to harness the power of intelligent robotics to improve the world we live in today. This is why we’re proud to be working with the ESA and our local partner to ensure the safety of critical infrastructures here in Denmark and around the world.” Says Kenneth Richard Giepel, co-founder and CEO at Robotto.

Autonomous drones in Energy

The implementation of the solution marks a first in the energy sector, where our local partner leads the heat and power industry with intelligent and autonomous drone solutions powered by the new DJI M30 Drone in a Box solution powered by Robotto’s intelligent software. As this solution has yet to officially launch, the project will begin testing in November of this year, with an aim of a fully operational solution in Q1 2023.

Biomass monitoring is but the first of many intelligent robotic solutions Robotto aims to develop for the energy sector.

“At Robotto we’re passionate about using our technology to help organizations succeed in their green transition by finding solutions to new problems by applying intelligent robotic technologies.” Explains co-founder and CEO at Robotto, Kenneth Richard Giepel.

About Robotto:

Roboto is a prize-winning Danish intelligent robotics company established in 2019. They develop smart software to enhance the capabilities of robots across multiple industries. Currently, their software saves lives with smart firefighting drone software, search and rescue drone software, and supports wildlife conservation efforts with autonomous elephant tracking, reducing fatalities due to wildlife-human conflict. Robotto’s software improves work processes across industries, allowing organizations to work smarter- not harder.

About ESA:

The European Space Agency (ESA) is Europe’s gateway to space. Its mission is to shape the development of Europe’s space capability and ensure that investment in space continues to deliver benefits to the citizens of Europe and the world. ESA is an international organization with 22 Member States. By coordinating the financial and intellectual resources of its members, it can undertake programs and activities far beyond the scope of any single European country.
